Sensitzation Session For Leaders/Sr. Managers

On

Inclusion Of Persons with Disabilities At The Worksplace

Tuesday, 28 June 2016| 1400-1700 hrs| Mumbai

The Objective:

As organizations are becoming increasingly global, new laws and standards call for an inclusive environment that provides inclusive and accessible workplaces for all; including persons with disability. There are several corporate success stories illustrating the significant contribution. Despite scarcity of skilled resources, corporates generally ignore this hugely untapped alternate resource pool and hesitate in including Persons with Disability beyond the CSR agenda.

It has been the endeavour of CII to promote mainstreaming Persons with Disabilities into the corporate workforce by sensitizing its members and facilitating employment. In this backdrop, CII is organizing a Series of Sessions on Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in the Corporate Workforce http://bit.ly/1UbLlk2. The series strives to address both business leaders and senior managers of the corporate. The Session would answer very pertinent questions that are in the minds of the leaders, present them with an adaptable framework to embark the journey of accessibility & inclusion in their workforce. Some of these questions are:

  •  What is disability inclusion?

  • Why companies hire persons with disabilities? Is there a business case for hiring?

  • How to create an accessible and inclusive organization?

  • Where to hire competent candidates with disability?

  • How much would it cost?

The Session would be facilitated Ms Abha Saxena, founder of Social Equity Advisory Services. Ms Saxena comes with extensive experience in promoting business responsibility & disability initiatives.
